       Celebrating 75 years serving New Kent County

        The Providence Forge Ruritan Club is a dedicated community service organization that has been serving New Kent County, Virginia for 75 years.

As a non-profit organization, our mission revolves around making a positive impact on the local community through various initiatives and projects.

​

       Here are some key points about the Providence Forge Ruritan Club:

  1. History and Purpose:

    • Founded in 1949, our club has a rich history of community involvement.

    • Our primary goal is to promote fellowship, goodwill, and service within the community.

    • The Providence Forge Ruritan Club actively engages in a wide range of community service activities.

    • We organize events, fundraisers, and volunteer efforts to address local needs.

  3. Areas of Focus:

    • Our club focuses on areas such as education, health, youth development, and civic engagement.

    • We collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other organizations to create a positive impact.

  4. Celebrating more than 75 Years:

    • Last year marks a significant milestone for the Providence Forge Ruritan Club as we celebrate our diamond jubilee.

    • Through the decades, we have built strong relationships and contributed to the betterment of New Kent County.

  • Roadside clean-up and anti-litter drives.

  • Life-saving squads and fire departments.

  • ​Assisting the elderly and infirm – driving to doctor’s appointments

Heath Coryell, President,  Joey Crump, Vice President,  and Alan Files, Treasurer were sworn in as our 2025 officers by Lee Morris .

Don Emery, Secretary (not present) will be sworn in at our January meeting.

The club wants to thank Rob Baillie, past President and Thomas Blunt, past Secretary for volunteering their service for the past few years. 

         Our Scholarship Committee has selected the winners for this                                           year's scholarships.
